National –

The Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) today, January 15th, announced 154 domestic infections among 188 new confirmed cases in the past 24 hours, marking a cumulative number of cases to 11,450 in Thailand.

81 of 154 domestic cases were found in Samut Sakhon with 47, Bangkok 27, Samut Prakan 2, Narathiwat 1, Nonthaburi 1, Nakhon Sawan 1, Chonburi 1, and Rayong 1.

The other 73 cases were discovered in both Thai and Migrant workers during an active case finding process by the provincial public health office in Samut Sakhon with 52, Chacheongsao 7, Rayong 5, Chonburi 3, Samut Prakan 3, Chanthaburi 2, and Pathum Thani 1.

All of the infections found in active case finding are currently in strict state quarantine at the provided areas under public health supervision with no exposure to the general public, according to the CCSA. This means only 81 cases were domestic today in Thailand, an improvement in overall numbers.

The map above shows a number of Covid-19 infections in all provinces since the second wave of the virus outbreak on December 15th, 2020, distinguished with color codes. In the map on the right, the white color is for 17 provinces with no Covid-19 cases found at all since the new round of infections. Green is for 20 provinces with no Covid-19 cases in the past seven days. Yellow shows 40 provinces with Covid-19 cases in the past seven days.

In the map on the left, 10 provinces in red-coded color have more than 50 infections, 12 in orange-coded have between 11 to 50 infections, 38 in yellow-colored with one to 10 infections, and 17 provinces in white with no cases.

The CCSA has said they plan to review the current measures and restrictions by the end of the month as well as the highly controlled status of some provinces.
