Beach bed umbrellas back to every day service on Pattaya beach with longer hours, parking being discussed

Pattaya-

Pattaya City Hall has allowed beach bed umbrella service every day at Pattaya beach.

A meeting was held this week at Pattaya City Hall and was led by the Pattaya City Deputy Mayor Manot Nongyai. Joining him were beach bed umbrella vendors from Pattaya and Jomtien area beaches and Wong Amart beach.

One of the important issues which has been concluded in the meeting is they are allowed to operate beach bed umbrella services every day from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM except on Wednesday they have to clean the area from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM before the service.

For Pattaya Beach, every four months, beach bed umbrellas will not be provided for three days on the third week of the month on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This is for an entire beach wide cleaning. Previously, every Wednesday was a closure and cleaning day for beach vendors.

While on Jomtien beach, Phra Tamnak, Asia and Cozy Beach there will be no service in the second week of the month.

However if the no service dates are on a weekend or holidays, the service can be continued and the no service day will be postponed to another week. Vendors must remove their items out from the beach so staffers from local offices can clean the beach.

Pattaya beach bed, umbrella vendors and boat operators have also paid some parking fees trying to encourage more beach goers. Pattaya City Hall is discussing opening up Pattaya Beach to street parking as well, a significant request of beach vendors.
