UPDATE: Thieves rob Chinese at gunpoint in Banglamung luxury house

Pattaya Police stated today to the Associated Pattaya press that they found that a Chinese victim in a major house robbery was allegedly hiding information regarding the crime, especially regarding financial information related to the incident.

The previous case involved thieves reportedly robbing a Chinese national at gunpoint before speeding away with a reported three million baht cash in Nongprue about two weeks prior.

The Deputy Police Commander of the Royal Thai Police General Suchart Teerasawat visited the Nongprue Police Chief Colonel Chtdaecha Songhong today.

Colonel Chitdaecha told The Pattaya News that the Chinese victim claimed he had his legs and hands tied by the thieves who robbed him at gunpoint before speeding away with three million baht.

General Suchart said police have found evidence that this incident had really happened. However, there are many other individuals who were reportedly with the victims at the time of the incident but police cannot identify them as the victim had reportedly not fully cooperated with police.

The victim had also allegedly hidden information about his finances and source of income. Police also told the Associated Press they found evidence that the victim and his friends had strange behavior following the incident and were not being completely forthcoming.

In addition, a lot of money had been reportedly withdrew from the victim’s bank account after the incident. Police continue to investigate the incident and state that they believe there is much more to the overall situation but that the victim is allegedly not fully cooperating.
