Chonburi-
A driver who survived a serious accident in Panthong this past weekend with nearly no injuries believes he was saved by his special religious bracelet.
Lieutenant Colonel Songphon Thongtarb of the Panthong Police was notified of the accident on Sunday night in Nong Khaka.
Emergency responders, police and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find an overturned sedan on the road.
The driver, 25 year old Mr. Bodin Kongpang, had sustained only very minor injuries and was calmly waiting for police and medical staff while sitting on the side of the road.
He told The Pattaya News that his vehicle had suddenly lost control before flipping several times and crashing into the central reservation of the road.
He claimed that he had no idea what caused him to lose control of his vehicle. He confirmed that he was wearing a seat belt during the accident.
Bodin also attributes his survival to a special religious bracelet. He claims the bracelet has protected him for many years and helped prevent injuries.
Rescue workers, meanwhile, stated to the Pattaya News that they attributed Bodin’s survival to wearing a seatbelt properly. Lt. Col. Songphon will be reviewing CCTV at the scene of the accident to determine what caused Bodin to lose control of his vehicle.
