Chonburi police destroy 700 illegal exhaust pipes with a steamroller taken from motorbike racers in Pattaya area

Chonburi Police used a steam roller yesterday to crush more than 700 illegal exhaust pipes seized from road racers in the Pattaya area.

Police, led by the Region 2 Police Commander Major General Montri Yimyam, revealed specific road statistics to the press yesterday.

From June 20th to the 30th Chonburi police arrested 11 reckless drivers, held 1,307 inspections at motorcycle shops and repair venues, 8 of which will face further legal charges relating to illegal modifications, 761 illegal exhaust pipes were seized, 3,075 road users were arrested, 11 cars and 2,157 motorbikes were seized.

Maj Gen Montri said this is part of national Thai Government measures to crack down on road racing.
