A Belgian expat was found dead after he had an alleged arguement with a neighbor about a loud water pump in Nongprue.
Major Samart Boonrit of the Nongprue Police was notified of the incident late yesterday night at a house in Soi Khao Talo.
Police arrived at the scene to find the body of a 65 year old Belgian expat near the pool in front of his house. His body was taken to a local hospital. His name has been withheld by the Pattaya News pending full investigation of the incident. He had lived in Pattaya for many years.
Witnesses told police that they heard the Belgian expat arguing with a neighbor about a noisy water pump prior to being found deceased. The nationality and identity of the neighbor was not given to the press by the Pattaya Police as they continue to investigate.
The expat went to talk to the neighbor about turning off the noisy water pump before coming back to his house, the witnesses stated to the press. The argument was intense and police had to be called.
Police were called to the scene to stop the argument, however upon arrival the body of the expat was found near his pool. The body was immediately taken to a local morgue for an autopsy and press were not given access at the scene to see the condition of the body.
Nongprue police are continuing their investigation to find the cause of death, they stated, and did not want to speculate on what happened until a full autopsy was performed.
