Investigation conducted over Chinese owned business at alleged fake chapel in Bang Lamung

Bang Lamung –
An investigation is being conducted over a Chinese business owner allegedly renting and building a fake chapel on temple land in Khao Maikaew for a Chinese tour business.

The news came to light after ‘Big Kren’ news reported the story with pictures and message saying that a Chinese business owner has rented a chapel on temple land.

The Chinese business owner has allegedly built a fake chapel as a tour business where overpriced artifacts and items are sold to Chinese tourists who are brought to the chapel.

The business is similar to a Chinese zero baht tour which has damaged Thailand significantly in prior years according to police officials.

Lt Col Piyapong Ensan of the Pattaya Tourist Police told the news media including the Pattaya News that they are investigating the incident following the complaint with other relevant offices.

If any illegal business was found, further legal action will be taken.
