Bali Hai Pier-

Red flags have been gone up at the Bali Hai Pier this morning to warn boats in regards to the Thai Meteorological Department’s (TMD) latest announcement for weather warnings issued this morning.

The announcement stated that tropical storm “WIPHA” may cause abundant rain with isolated heavy to very heavy rain over the country. The strong waves in the Andaman Sea are up to 2-4 meters high and in the upper Gulf about 2 meters high as well as thundershower areas above 4 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution.

Small boats should keep ashore until 6 August.

Meanwhile at the Bali Hai Pier this morning, a red flag has been gone up half of the pole. This means that small boats are not allowed to go out from the pier. Larger boats should proceed with caution.

Residents of the Pattaya area are informed that the heavy winds and regular rainstorms may continue over the weekend.
