Chonburi-

Police are hunting for a Cambodian suspect who reportedly used an ax to murder a man described as a friend and proceeded to flee.

The Ban Bueang Police was notified of the incident yesterday (January 22nd) at a migrant worker camp at a company in the Nong Chark sub-district.

Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the body of Mr. Yoona (Who only goes by his first name), 33, a Cambodian national. His neck and face were covered with blood. Nearby, Ban Bueang police found multiple bottles of Thai whisky.

A witness, a Thai man named Mr. Sunan Jantrarak, 55, who worked at the same place with Mr. Yoona told police, “They were drinking alcohol before Mr. Yoona and Mr. Potjai (the suspect) started a verbal argument which quickly escalated.”

“The Cambodian suspect proceeded to chop at his friend’s neck with an ax several times before speeding away,” Sunan stated, also adding that it wasn’t clear what the argument between the two men was regarding.
