Pattaya-

A teenage driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after a motorbike accident this morning.

Lieutenant Chanikan Puenpinit of the Pattaya City Police was notified of the accident fifteen minutes after midnight (January 13th) on Sukhumvit Road opposite Makro store in Pattaya. This particular area has been well known for accidents previously primarily due to a U-Turn that has been closed and opened multiple times.

Police, emergency responders and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the body of Mr. Duangkamon Korranoe, 18, on the road. Nearby they found his damaged motorbike.

Mr. Adisorn Tongon, 34, told police that he was driving on a motorbike behind Mr Duangkamon who was driving erratically at high speed without a helmet.

Mr. Duangkamon lost control of his motorbike before crashing into the central reservation.

Pattaya Police stated that CCTV at the scene confirms Mr. Tongon’s story.
