A 90 year old elder has been found in a nearby forest after an hour of searching after she escaped from a house fire in the Panat Nikhom District last night (November 15th). The house was also damaged from the fire.
The Panat Nikhom Police was notified of the fire at 8:00 PM in Soi Suan Pak 4 in the Ban Chang sub-district.
Fire fighters with fire engines and police arrived at the scene to find the home was already ablaze.
It took about an hour to place the fire completely under control. No injuries were reported.
Mr. Weera Rajitdamrong, 28, told police, “I was sleeping in the house before I heard the sound of an explosion and the fire started.”
“I could not find my grandmother in the house. I asked my neighbors to help search for her.”
“The total cost of damages is estimated at about 300,000 baht.” Weera added.
Mrs. Im Saetang, 90, was found 500 meters from the house in a forest nearby. She panicked before running away from the fire at the house but was not injured, only confused.
Meanwhile, the Pattaya forensic police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the fire.
