Pro-establishment supporters, famous royalist actors and volunteers gather in Chonburi to display loyalty and support to Royal institution

Former actor volunteers, Bin and Ekapan Bunluerit, led a crowd of ultra-royalists in Chonburi to show their support and loyalty to His Royal Majesty the King yesterday, November 11, amid the uprising political tensions and contradictory demands of pro-democracy activists.

Thousands of yellow-shirted people, estimated by Thai media, were gathered on Chonlamark Vithee road near Chonburi Town Municipality at 4:00 PM. Pattaya City Mayor Sonthaya Khunplome and his brother Wittaya Khunplome also participated in the rally.

The crowd was waving Thai and Royal flags and holding up pictures and portraits of Bhumibol Adulyadej and His Royal Majesty the King and the Queen. They were heard chanting “Long Live the King” while marching to Chonburi City Hall.

Bin Bunluerit told the press that it is now the time for Thai people to come out and display their loyalty and love to the Royal institution and His Royal Majesty the King. He and his brother will also participate in many pro-establishment activities across the country for the King.

A message of loyalty towards the Royal institution was read on a stage at 6:00 PM. before the crowd started lighting candles in honor of His Royal Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen.

Chonburi Governor Phakthorn Thianchai arrived at the ceremony to show respect to the royal image and opened a cone of flowers as a tribute to the King and the Queen. He later received a message of loyalty from Somchai Kiratiyaphong, the ceremony host, before giving it to the government.

The message will be forwarded to the palace to have the royal family acknowledge that Thai people in Chonburi and nearby provinces are loyal and sincerely respectful of the King, who cannot be overthrown or despised.
