Chonburi –

A father has called police to arrest his own drug addicted son in Mueang Chonburi.

The Mueang Chonburi Police was initially notified from a local resident that drugs were being sold at a rental room in the Baan Suan sub-district.

Police arrived to find the man named by police only as Mr A, 52, in front of the room. He led police to his son, 34, inside the room. The name of the son was not given to the press.

Police did not find any drugs inside the room. However, the suspect allegedly admitted to police that he had already taken three methamphetamine pills after he realized that his father called police to arrest him. Police did find articles and items normally used to consume drugs in the room.

His father told police that methamphetamine pills were very cheap. Three pills were allegedly being sold for only one hundred baht to his son.

His son had used drugs since he was fourteen years old. This time someone had delivered drug to him at the room.

The suspect was taken to the police station at his father’s request who also said he would not bail him out.
