Car hits and kills Myanmar man in hit and run in Chonburi area

Chonburi-
A Myanmar pedestrian who had just come to Chonburi to work was killed after a hit and run road accident in Chonburi this week.

Captain Issara Aroka of the Nong Yai Police was notified of the accident on Monday night on Khao Sok-Tha Jam Road.

Police, emergency responders and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find 40 year old Mr. Ko Komin, a Burmese national. He was unconscious and later pronounced dead at the scene.

His friend told The Pattaya News that he was talking on his phone when Mr. Ko was hit by a pickup truck before it sped away.

Chonburi police are continuing their investigation to find the pickup truck driver.

This is the second hit and run involving a foreign national in the local region this week. A Cambodian man was hit twice by vehicles earlier this week, but survived in serious condition. Both vehicles fled the scene of that accident. More on that incident is below.
