Two Police officers injured in three vehicle accident in Si Racha

Two Si Racha police officers have sustained moderate injuries after a car crashed into their police motorbike, sending them into a third vehicle, in Si Racha yesterday.

Si Racha Police were notified of the incident yesterday at the Saint Louis Intersection in Surasak sub-district.

Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find two injured individuals who were Sergeant Major Wichian Simajarna and Corporal Rakpark Kingkaew. They were taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.

Nearby, rescue staff found a damaged police motorbike and a damaged Toyota sedan. The Toyota, driver 25 year old Ms. Supannikar Kansuk, was uninjured and waiting for additional law enforcement.

Another damaged Honda car whose driver was 36 year old Ms. Pitchaya Ponginsee was found at the scene. Ms. Ponginsee was also uninjured.

The Toyota sedan driver claimed the Honda car was coming from the opposite lane and crashed into the police motorbike.

The police motorbike then proceeded to hit the Toyota sedan.

Both injured officers remain under medical care. Si Racha police will review CCTV in the area to determine potential legal charges.
