WBC to host first WBC MuayThai world convention in Bangkok in March

The WBC is hosting the first WBC MuayThai world convention in Bangkok, from March 14-16, at the Athenee Plaza hotel and at Lumpinee stadium.

The purpose for the convention is to bring MuayThai and boxing fans together in the Kingdom, to celebrate the 16-years of success of WBC MuayThai activities across the world and to celebrate the history of heritage of the sport of MuayThai.

PRESS RELEASE:

The World Boxing Council will host the first WBC MuayThai world convention, in Bangkok, from March 14-16, at the The Athenee Hotel.

An elite fight night at Bangkok’s Lumpinee stadium, featuring WBC MuayThai world title contests and one WBC Asia boxing championship fight, will be staged during the convention.

The convention will bring together MuayThai fans, fighters, promoters from all corners of the globe.

Moreover, there will be an in-depth, two-day MuayThai seminar and workshop for MuayThai ring officials, covering judging, referring and the fight supervisor responsibilities.

The convention will welcome a host of elite MuayThai and boxing champions from Thailand, and around the world, to celebrate their past and present success, such as Seksan Or Kwanmaung, Samart Payakaroon, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, Wanheng Meenayothin, Superlek Kiatmoo9 and more.

The weekend will witness the showcasing of the rich heritage and culture of the sport of MuayThai and celebrate sixteen years of the success of the WBC MuayThai.

The guest of honor for the weekend will be WBC President, Mauricio Sulaiman.
