Fight at Pattaya Temple Fair Leaves Three People Injured

Pattaya —

A temple fair at Wat Chak Nok in the Huay Yai area of Banglamung district turned violent as two groups of hot-headed teenagers clashed, resulting in three injuries.

The brawl between two groups of rival local teens broke out just half an hour past midnight on Thursday, October 19th, at Wat Chak Nok where a temple fair and a concert were being held.

Emergency responders and Pattaya police rushed to the scene and arrested two unidentified men who allegedly engaged in the brawl. Police also seized a 50-cm-long knife from one of the suspects.

According to emergency responders, they found three injured individuals, including an innocent local who was struck in the face with a knife. All three were promptly transported to the nearest hospital for thorough medical assistance.

In an interview with The Pattaya News, Phonthep, last name not given, the fair organizer, stated that teenagers attending the concert suddenly got into an altercation with each other for unknown reasons. The organizer then halted the concert, and a local resident asked the teenagers to leave the temple.

However, the teenagers returned shortly after leaving and attacked a local sitting in front of a nearby convenience store. The incident also led to two more injuries.

The two suspects are facing legal charges at the Pattaya police station. Pattaya police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the rest of the suspects who started the fight.

The suspects were not immediately identified by Pattaya Police.
