Electric authority staffer seriously injured after he crashes his pickup truck into a Chonburi power pole

Chonburi –

An electric authority staffer has sustained serious injuries after he crashed his pickup truck into a power pole in Mueang Chonburi Wednesday night (October 20th) during curfew time.

The Samet Police was notified of the accident at 11:30 P.M. in the Samet sub-district.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the damaged pickup truck had collided with a power pole.

The driver, Mr. Worawit Taemeeyapan, 41, an electric authority staffer who was unconscious, was stuck inside the cab. Rescue workers used a hydraulic cutter to free him and he was rushed to a local hospital.

At this stage, police believe that the driver might have fallen asleep at the wheel. However, police are checking CCTV footage nearby to find the exact cause of the accident.
