Pattaya-
The Mercy Pattaya Center handed out survival bags to youths and their families who are in a scholarship project for children living in a potentially fragile environment this week.
The group performed a charity event yesterday (January 21st) at Nongprue Municipality and was led by the Nongprue Mayor Dr. Mind Chaiyanit and staffers from the Mercy Pattaya Center.
There were more than 40 children present in which 21 are in primary school, 10 are in high school, seven are in vocational certification school and three are members of the Office of the Non-Formal and Informal Education Center.
These are youth who, for various reasons, are considered possibly at risk and struggling due to the recent Covid-19 situation in Thailand. Many of them were directly affected by the recent closures and related measures in Chonburi as a result of the virus.
It is the hope of the Mercy Pattaya center that by providing these individuals survival packages they will be better equipped to handle the current difficult situation that have seen many of their families out of work and without income due to the Covid-19 virus related measures and closures.
