Rayong announces four new cases of Covid -1 9, new cases decrease

The Rayong Public Health Department this afternoon (January 16th) announced four new confirmed cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus in Rayong.

Rayong now has a total of 562 cases of Covid-19 with one dead. The man, age 45, who worked at a high risk place in Rayong. He had personal health issues which were diabetes and heart disease.

Of those 562, 527 are Thais while 35 are foreigners/ migrant workers.

The Rayong Governor, Mr. Channa Eiamsang told the local media, “Although the number of people infected by Covid-19 is declining the province still requests your kind cooperation to be strict on the Covid19 precautionary measures.”

“For those who are in a high risk group, please observe your symptoms and those around you in order to bring the situation in Rayong back to normal as soon as possible.”

The province remains under a highly controlled status which sees many measures and regulations including some business closures.
