Armed man robs Chonburi department store and escapes with 200,000 baht worth of gold, still on the loose – VIDEO

Si Racha, Chonburi-

Laem Chabang Police are hunting for a male suspect who is being called armed and dangerous after robbing a Chonburi department store at gunpoint in Si Racha yesterday who escaped with gold worth in total about 200,000 baht.

Lieutenant Colonel Khajornsak Somwang of the Laem Chabang Police was notified of the incident at 6:30 P.M. last night (November 23rd) at the ‘Golden 99’ gold shop inside a department store in the Thung Sukhla sub-district.

Officers and The Pattaya News arrived at the gold shop to find three shaken but uninjured female staffers.

CCTV footage shows that the male suspect used a handgun to threaten the staffers. He demanded gold before speeding away.

Staff at the gold shop told police that the suspect escaped with about 200,000 baht in gold.

Laem Chabang Police are now hunting for the suspect and are utilizing CCTV footage to follow up on what they state are several promising leads.
