Russian tourist dies in motorbike accident in Pattaya

Pattaya –
A Russian man has been pronounced dead this morning after a motorbike accident in Pattaya.

Major Saijai Kamjula of the Pattaya City Police was notified of the accident at 8:30AM on Jomtien Second Road.

Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the body of a 36 year old Russian man on the road. He had died instantly when he struck a palm tree, first responders told the media. High speed is believed to be a factor. He was wearing a helmet. His name was withheld pending contact of his family and his embassy.

Nearby, police found a damaged motorbike. His body was taken to a local hospital.

Pattaya police are continuing their investigation and checking CCTV footage nearby to find the exact cause of the accident and informing the Russian embassy.
