Man gets in swordfight with his brother in Pattaya during argument, both men seriously injured

Pattaya-

Two brothers are seriously injured and in a local hospital this evening after getting into a violent swordfight with each other after a verbal argument, allegedly about sleeping arrangements.

At 5:00 PM today, December 8th, 2019, Sawang Boriboon Rescue Workers were called to a house on Soi Phasak Suk, Village one, along with a team of doctors from Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. They were responding to frantic calls of two men involved in a violent swordfight.

Rescue Workers discovered Mr. Kriengsak Somnua, 57, sitting in a chair with a sword pierced through his chest. He was bleeding heavily and seriously injured. He was rushed to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.

His older brother, Manop Somnua, 60, was nearby. He had sustained multiple slash wounds and was taken to Banglamung Hospital.

Police are investigating the incident but stated to the local media that both men were heavily intoxicated and had been drinking all afternoon. The older brother initially attacked the younger brother. Allegedly, the dispute was over sleeping arrangements in their shared home.
