Pattaya cold and windy spell to continue at least through Tuesday

Temperatures across Thailand, except in the south, will continue to fall until next Tuesday due to an intense cold front from China, according to the Meteorological Department’s forecast this morning.

The cool weather will see temperatures in the north and north-east drop by 8-10oC to lows of 6-12oC on the plains and as low as 1oC on mountain tops. December 7th to 10th will be the coldest.

Bangkok, Pattaya and its surrounding areas will also experience cooler weather, with minimum temperatures ranging from 15-20oC.

The Gulf of Thailand, from Chumpon province south, will experience strong winds and rough seas, with waves of 2-4 metres.  People living along the southern coast have been warned of the possibility of storm surges, while small boats are advised to remain ashore.
