The Baan Kruja Anti Human Trafficking and Child Abuse Center in the Pattaya area needs help due to the Covid – 19 pandemic and has put out a public appeal for assistance.

Mr. Palisorn Noja, the director of the Anti Human Trafficking and Child Abuse Center in the Chonburi area (Baan Kruja), spoke with local Thai media yesterday, January 17th, 2021.

“Due to the Covid -19 situation, we have followed the government measurements for closing the foundation to prevent the potential spread of the virus during a current second round of infections in Thailand.”

“We are facing a lot of impact from the pandemic as our regular supporters who were traveling to donate and support to the center are not allowed to enter now. Chonburi is a highly controlled zone and many of our biggest supporters cannot travel currently.”

“Now, we have grown to about 50 children from 36 children last year due to the economic crisis around Covid19 which unfortunately has caused more parents to abandon and abuse their children across Thailand. Additionally, with so many local businesses closed we have lost many of our business supporters.” Mr. Noja continued.

“However, anyone who wishes to support us can donate food and necessary items for our children at the gate to our center in Banglamung that is available to find on Google maps. Our staff will collect the items.” Mr. Noja concluded.

“For supporters who are unble to donate items they can directly donate to our bank account with Kasikorn Bank 006 1 23489 6,”. (account name: ศูนย์ต่อต้านการค้ามนุษย์และการล่วงละเมิดทางเพศ (ศตคด.) โดย มูลนิธิพัฒนาการคุ้มครองเด็ก)
