Power poles being removed from North Pattaya as electric cables are moved underground

The Pattaya Provincial Electric Authority (PEA) has started to remove power poles on North Pattaya Road after electric cables were successfully moved underground earlier this year.

Pattaya Provincial Electric Authority (PEA) officials told The Pattaya News the first phase of power pole removal has started on Monday (November 9th) which is expected to be completed later today (November 13th).

The removal project started from the entrance of Soi Sukhumvit to the Parinya Intersection which is in total 57 power poles.

The second phase of power pole removal will start from December 1st to the 20th next month with a total of 169 power poles.

Meanwhile, communication cables will be removed at the end of this month, added the PEA.

The Pattaya PEA have steadily been removing electric poles since June earlier this year but this week has been the largest number of power poles removed yet.
