Man injured from severe cut by string trimmer in Chonburi

Chonburi-

A man has sustained a serious leg injury from a string trimmer (weed whacker) in Chonburi.

Emergency responders were notified of the incident at a lagoon near a temple in the Pan Thong district yesterday.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find Mr. Weerayut Jaroenrat, 38, who is a staffer from the Nong Tamlueng Municipality.

He had sustained severe injuries from a severe cut on his right leg. A part of the trimmer was found nearby. He was rushed to a local hospital for medical assistance.

Mr. Samran Sangngern, 39, who is Mr Weerayut’s colleague told The Pattaya News that they were trimming grass to prepare for the Loy Krathong festival. He heard Mr. Weerayut cry out with sudden pain.

He believed that the trimmer might have hit a rock before the cutter blade split Mr. Weerayut’s leg.
