Royalist supporters hold rally at Banglamung district office

Banglamung-

Villager headmen and people in Banglamung who were wearing yellow shirts presented themselves at the Banglamung District Office today to express their love for the country, religion and the king.

The Banglamung District Chief Amnart Jaroensri welcomed them at the district office to receive a letter which will be given to the Chonburi Governor.

The letter concluded that, “To the Chonburi Governor, due to the current protest situation in Bangkok, Banglamung and other area in Thailand, there are many photos, videos and comments that have insulted our most sacred institution which have gone viral in social media.”

“Thai people all know that Thailand is an independent country nowadays because of our previous kings since ancient time.”

“We appreciate our beloved monarchy. We must protect our monarchy.”

They have noted that “We welcome discussion but not what we consider insults against our most sacred institution.”

The Pattaya News notes that the group was predominantly middle aged or older as opposed to predominantly younger Pro-Democracy protesters.
