Bus Falls off Mountain Road in Sisaket Province, Four People Killed, 27 Injured

At least four people have been killed and 24 injured when a bus carrying participants for trail running fell from a steep mountain road in Sisaket province, northeastern Thailand, yesterday morning, July 9th.

The tragic incident occurred around 9:30 AM on Sunday.

According to reports, a bus carrying several marathon runners from Luang Pu Suang Wat Phrai Phatthana Technological College flipped over while it was trying to climb a mountain road near the Phaya Krupri Viewpoint in Sisaket to transport the runners to the starting point.

The car then fell from the steep road into the deep jungle below, killing four people and injuring at least 27 people.

The road where the accident occurred is a two-lane curved road without a central divider. The weather conditions at the time of accident were reportedly normal.

As for the deceased, one was a 52-year-old female while the others were still unidentified to the press.

The rescue team promptly transported the injured individuals to nearby hospitals, including Sisaket Hospital and Phu Sing Hospital. TPN Media will provide further details when they become available.
