Banglamung and Chonburi officially starts operating checkpoints screening to prevent the spread of Covid – 19

Chonburi –

The Chonburi governor has ordered six checkpoints to prevent the spread of Covid -19.

Lists of checkpoints are

  1. Opposite Sripatum University on Sukhumvit 1 Road in Nong Mai Dang, Mueang Chonburi
  2. Opposite Ninja Market before the entrance of the Phra Prom housing estate on Bypass Road in Klong Tamru, Mueang Chonburi.
  3. Opposite Banglamung Police Station on Sukhumvit 2 Road in Naklua.
  4. Near Kasempon Intersection on Number 331 Road in Plu Taluang, Sattahip.
  5. Near Hua Pai Intersection on Number 315 Road in Panat Nikhom.
  6. In front of Nong Samsark Municipality on Number 344 Road (Ban Bueang – Klang Road) in Nong Samsark in Ban Bueang.

The order concludes, “People are being REQUESTED to avoid or slowdown the travelling between provinces during this time without necessary reasons.”

“In case for necessary travel there might be inconvenience and going through checkpoints may take a longer time than usual.”

“For moving migrant workers must follow the authorities order, which bans the movement of all migrant workers without a fourteen-day quarantine.”

The checkpoints will reportedly be checking identification to ensure people are not illegal migrant workers, selecting random travelers to determine if their trip is necessary or essential, conducting temperature checks, and other Covid19 measures. TPN suggests foreigners have a copy of their passport with their recent stamps showing their legal status.

The order is from today (July 13th) until further notice.
