An intoxicated Thai woman and a Korean man have escaped serious injury after their vehicle crashed into a parked car near Jomtien beach this morning.
The Pattaya City Police was notified of the accident in front of a condominium near Jomtien beach just after midnight (January 23rd) .
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find an overturned red sedan on the road.
The heavily intoxicated driver, Ms. Nuchthida Kraisri, 28, from Chanthaburi, was not injured. Her Korean passenger had sustained head injuries but was reportedly laughing and in good spirits. He was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
Nearby, Pattaya Police found a damaged black car whose transgender driver, Priwan Oadherng, 37, was waiting for law enforcement at the scene.
Priwan stated to Pattaya Law Enforcement, “I had just parked my car for only ten minutes to go on a walk on the beach with my firends when the other vehicle crashed into my car.”
Pattaya City Police stated that the driver was taken into custody and will likely be charged with driving under intoxication and other related charges including liability for the accident.
