Cement truck suffers alleged brake failure and crashes in Banglamung

Banglamung-

A driver has escaped serious injuries after an alleged brake failure on his cement truck caused it to overturn in Banglamung yesterday morning (November 7th).

Rescue workers were notified of the accident at 10:00 AM in Baan Ton Krarok in the Takientia sub-district.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the overturned cement truck on the road.

The driver, Mr. Somsak Wannajan, 61, had sustained only minor injuries.

He told The Pattaya News, “I was going to a construction site to deliver cement. When I arrived at a curve, I lost control of the truck as the truck suffered a sudden brake failure. ”

“I shouted out to warn other road users to get out of my way. I decided to hit the side of the road to stop the truck.” Somsak added.

Authorities are reviewing the incident and Somsak’s statement.
