Gold snatcher in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) arrested in Pattaya

A gold snatcher at a department store in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) has been arrested in Pattaya.

Police in Nakhon Ratchasima were notified of the gold snatcher at a gold shop in a department store in Nakhon Ratchasima on Tuesday (April 12th). CCTV footage shows the incident.

The male suspect used an item similar to a handgun to threaten staffers at the gold shop.

The suspect snatched gold items worth in total more than 4,500,000 baht within 20 seconds before speeding away on a motorbike.

Today (April 15th) the Region 3 Police Commander Lieutenant General Somprasong Yentoam told the associated Thai press, “We have arrested the suspect who is identified as Mr. Kittipong ‘Best’ Paethaisong, 28 in Pattaya. Police are now able to get back some of the stolen gold items from the suspect. He claimed that he is unemployed and has no money. More details will be released in a future press conference.”
