RECAP: Thailand discovers 158 domestic infections with 190 recovered in past 24 hours, vast majority in Samut Sakhon

The Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced 158 domestic Covid-19 cases out of a total of 171 new infections being discovered in Thailand in the past 24 hours.

33 of the 158 domestic cases were discovered in Samut Sakhon with 18, Bangkok 9, Rayong 3, Ratchaburi 1, Samut Prakan 1, and Nonthaburi 1.

The other 125 local infections were discovered in Samut Sakhon with 120, Bangkok 4, and Nonthaburi 1 during active case finding by provincial public health authorities. All of them are asymptomatic and are now at state quarantine with no exposure to the general population.

All of the infections found in active case finding are currently in strict state quarantine at provided areas under public health supervision with no exposure to the general public, according to the CCSA. This means that 33 cases were found locally transmitted today in Thailand.

A total of 190 people had fully recovered and been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now had a total of 12,594 cases with 9,356 recoveries since the start of the pandemic.

Only twenty cases were found outside of Samut Sakhon country wide today and five of those were in active case finding in quarantine areas.
