Local Banglamung residents claim a shadow caught on a dash cam could be a ghost, what do you think? – VIDEO

Banglamung-

A  shadow similar to a pedestrian was caught on a car dash cam in Banglamung earlier this week, being shared thousands of times on social media with many local Thai residents claiming it shows a ghost. Skeptics, however, dismissed the footage and stated that the shadow could have been a number of things.

Dash cam footage at about 3:00 AM this week from a vehicle shows a black shadow when the car was driving on road Number 331 in the Huayyai sub-district.

The owner of the car, whose name was not given, said he was not sure if that shadow was a human or something else. He had noticed the blur while driving by and checked his footage to confirm what he saw, stating that when he saw the playback he was “shocked” and disturbed.

Local residents who live near where the footage was shot stated that this area has the Mae Namgmai and Ong Ammarin shrines where they worship the shrines for good luck. The shrines are dotted with various religious sculptures as well as animal sculptures.

Local residents claim this area has long had a history of unusual and mysterious sightings, including those of what they claim to be a ghostly woman walking the road and even spirit animals similar to the sculptures at the nearby shrines crossing the road at night.

Fifty years ago, according to local legend, this area had a gas station but it had been abandoned after the gas station owner was allegedly shot to death.

The Pattaya News notes that the area around the shrine does not have housing where the footage was taken and that it is unusual for anyone to walk in the area at night, according to local residents, as vehicles drive by quickly and it could be dangerous. Skeptics, however, quickly dismissed the footage, with some saying it might be a discoloration, smoke, mist or any other number of things.

What do you think? Here is the footage below:
