Multiple pigs injured, cover the road, after truck overturns in Chonburi

Multiple pigs have been injured while traffic was disrupted after a truck overturned in Si Racha yesterday (November 19th).

Rescue workers were notified of the accident yesterday (November 19th) near Hemmarat Intersection in the Borwin sub-district.

The rescue workers arrived at the scene to find the overturned truck on the road. Multiple pigs were found scattered nearby. Some pigs had been injured from the accident.

Rescue workers used water and medical tools to give assistance to the injured pigs.

The truck driver, Mr Winai Uthai, 27 who had not been injured, told police, “I was transferring these pigs from the Panat Nikhom district to a slaughter house in the Sattahip district”.

“I lost control and crashed into the road barriers before the truck overturned.” Winai stated, admitting the accident was his fault.

The pigs have been moved to another truck heading to the slaughter house. Trfiic was backlogged many kilometers while the pigs and the truck were being removed.
