Ministry of Public Health announces 111 new confirmed cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus

Bangkok-

At a meeting from the Thai Ministry of Public Health and Department of Disease Control this morning officials announced 111  new confirmed cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus.

This brings the total in Thailand to 1045 cases.

The details of the cases are still being released. Based on the chart released for Chonburi this morning, only two cases are new for the Chonburi area. One is attributed to Banglamung, which is our direct region where Pattaya is. Details were not released. Cases in rural provinces have increased significantly according to the Ministry of Public Health, driven by tens of thousands of people who went home from Bangkok after being laid off of their jobs in the entertainment and non essential business industry.

This comes after an emergency decree has been put into place with more restrictions meant to help control the spread of the virus.

It is important to note there is NO curfew and no lockdown or shutdown order nationwide. Individual provinces, based on the Provincial Governor, may have different rules and restrictions.
