Driver seriously injured after his pickup truck crashes directly into religious shrine in Nakhon Ratchasima

Nakhon Ratchasima-

An unidentified male driver has sustained serious injuries after his pickup truck slammed into a religious shrine in Korat last night.

Lam Tamainchai Police were notified of the accident in the Klui sub-district, Lam Tamainchai.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a pickup truck crashed into a religious pillar shrine in the middle of a roundabout.

The male driver of the pickup truck, who was unidentified and aged around 40, had sustained serious injuries. He was rushed a local hospital for medical assistance.

Localsl witnesss said that vehicles should slow down when they arrived at the roundabout and this was not the first time a vehicle had crashed into this particular religious shrine.

Last year, there was a similar accident like this according to police. The pillar shrine was heavily damaged and renovated. Now, it faced having to be renovated once more. It is unknown if the driver will face charges in regards to the accident at this time.
