Heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast for most of Thailand, including Pattaya area

Thailand-

The Thai Meteorological Department has forecast that more rain is on the way across most of the country this morning. Driven by a Southwest monsoon over the Andaman sea and a low pressure cell covering Vietnam, sporadic storms are predicted to cover a significant portion of the country over the next 24 hours.

This is expected at times to bring isolated heavy showers and the potential of flooding in parts of the country.

Pattaya and Chonburi has a sixty percent chance of rain today and is expected to be mostly cloudy with sporadic thundershowers covering parts of the area throughout the day. The afternoon is expected to be fairly clear with more showers expected this evening.  Highs of up to 35C are forecast for the area as well.
