Banglamung police hunt for suspect who reportedly snatched expensive gold necklace from man in Pattaya area

Police are hunting for a suspect on a motorbike that reportedly snatched a gold necklace worth about 65,000 baht from a motorbike driver in Nongprue.

Yesterday, Mr Somchai Jandaphon, 40, a contractor, has filed a report to the Nongprue Police.

He told police that he was driving on a motorbike in Soi Marb Tado. The suspect, who was also driving on a motorbike had snatched the gold necklace from his neck at a stop before speeding away.

Some parts of the necklace and the precious amulet was found left nearby on the road, having broken off during the incident. However, the main part of the gold necklace was still missing.

Mr. Jandaphon said this was the second time that he has been a victim of a gold snatching incident and the previous suspect was never caught. The prior incident was some time ago.

Banglamung police are hunting for the suspect and reviewing CCTV in the immediate vicinity.
