Koh Larn –

A thief has allegedly stolen a bag with gold worth 65,000 baht from a Thai tourist on Koh Larn yesterday (June 14th).

Ms. Nantapak, the victim, told local reporters, “I am currently on vacation with my husband and two children. We stayed at a homestay on Koh Larn. I left my bag with valuable gold at the entrance to the homestay when we went outside by accident.”

“At 10:00 P.M. we went back to the homestay after a night out. I then remembered that I left my bag in front of the homestay. My bag had now, however, disappeared. Inside my bag was gold items worth in total 65,000 baht. I have already filed a report to the Pattaya City Police.” Nantapak explained to the press.

The homestay owner, who was not identified by law enforcement as part of an ongoing investigation, checked CCTV footage which shows what appears to be a shirtless Thai man taking the bag. The man was reportedly identified only as Mr. Tei, 26, a Koh Larn local resident who lives nearby.

The Pattaya City Police Chief Colonel Kinlachart Kunlachai said, “We have already identified the suspect and we are hunting for him.”

As of press time, however, Mr. Tei remains missing.
