Weather Continues Being Dangerously Hot Across Thailand but Thunderstorms Possible in Some Areas

Thailand –

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has warned of hot weather in many areas across the country.

The TMD has announced a daily weather forecast for today (April 21st). Heat covers the upper parts of Thailand and very hot weather is forecast in many areas in the upper parts. People should take care of their health due to the very hot weather.

However, some parts of Thailand might also have isolated thundershowers. Meanwhile, the Andaman Sea and the Gulf in the southern parts might have isolated thundershowers. People should beware of thunderstorms and be prepared.

Breakdown by Region:

Northern

Hot to very hot during the day time with possible isolated thundershowers with strong winds mostly in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, and Tak.

Minimum temperature 24-29 °C.

Maximum temperature 39-42 °C.

Northeastern

Hot to very hot during day time with isolated thundershowers with strong winds mostly in Loei, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.

Minimum temperature 25-29 °C.

Maximum temperature 39-41 °C. Southwesterly

Central

Hot to very hot with isolated thundershowers with gusty winds and isolated thundershowers mostly in Kanchanaburi and Uthai Thani.

Minimum temperature 25-28 °C.

Maximum temperature 38-41 °C.

Eastern

Hot and cloudy and very hot in some places with isolated thundershowers mostly in Sa Kaeo, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat..

Minimum temperature 26-30 °C.

Maximum temperature 34-40 °C.

Southern (East Coast)

Hot in day time and isolated thundershowers 20 percent mostly in Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala and Narathiwat.

Minimum temperature 24-28 °C.

Maximum temperature 35-39 °C.

Southern (West Coast)

Hot in day time and isolated thundershowers 10 percent mostly in Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 25-28 °C.

Maximum temperature 33-36 °C.

Bangkok Metropolitan

Hot in day time and cloudy. Very hot in some places.

Minimum temperature 28-29 °C.

Maximum temperature 35-40 °C.
