Thai Government encourages people to report on alleged Covid-19 rule violations by calling a hotline at 1111

Thailand-

The Thai Government is encouraging people to report alleged violations of Covid-19 rules and restrictions by calling their national hotline at 1111.

According to Anucha Burapachaisri, a government spokesperson, the Thai government has already had hundreds of concerned citizens reporting violations stemming from minor to major.  These are things like groups of people gathering against rules set by the Emergency Decree to illegal migrant workers allegedly being transported across the country.

The hotline is also set up for general Covid-19 related questions, advice, and tips. Anucha stated this weekend that the hotline has had a total of 32,008 inquiries and general questions so far since being set up.

The hotline is primarily geared towards Thai speakers but an English speaker is available upon request.

According to Anucha, all complaints are fully investigated by appropriate teams and all callers will remain anonymous.
