Pattaya City Hall opens provincial travel permission center for Pattaya residents who need to leave province during “high risk” status

Pattaya-

Pattaya City Hall is now serving residents for issuing a required certificate of traveling approval to leave the provincial area for urgent and essential needs, as required by a new Royal Gazette order earlier this week due to Chonburi being a “high risk” Covid-19 zone.

The Pattaya City mayor Sonthaya Khunpluem has set up the registration center at the Pattaya City Hall for residents who live in Pattaya ONLY. Applicants will need to bring their ID or passport and proof of local residence in Pattaya City proper. An applicant will also need to bring proof of the urgency or essential nature of their trip, such as a doctor’s note.

The registration center is available every day from today onward on the first floor of Building two during regular daytime working hours.

Other residents who live outside the Pattaya area can register for a travel certificate at the local Banglamung district office located on Sukhumvit.

Mr. Poompipat Kamonnart, the secretary of the Pattaya City Mayor told The Pattaya News, “We have to service residents as fast as possible and save their time. We also are ensuring there are proper Covid-19 protection standards such as social distancing, mask-wearing, space between seats, hand sanitizer, and temperature checks.”

“To expedite the process we are asking for companies that need multiple numbers of employees to have permission to leave and enter the province to have the manager or owner come with the appropriate information of their staff, including their ID’s or passports and information. There is no need for every individual employee to have to come to get a certificate.” Poompipat added.

The process is part of a new set of rules passed earlier this week and you can read more about Chonburi and four other provinces being a “high-risk” province here.
