Pattaya, Thailand-

The Rotary Club of Pattaya held their first meeting since officially welcoming thirty new members to Rotary earlier this month, an event The Pattaya News previously covered.

Rotary Club of Pattaya inducts thirty new members in major club expansion

This week, the Rotary Club of Pattaya held their first meeting since the expansion and the event saw a full house at a ballroom at the Royal Cliff Hotels Group who served an excellent dinner for those who chose to eat and fantastic customer service. The Pattaya News noted that staff at Royal Cliff even wear informational tags that reveal they had been recently temperature checked and gone through the same Covid-19 precautions that guests go through, a very nice touch.

The first meeting saw members choose which part of Rotary they would be taking place in, be it Services, Community, Vocational or International. When people think of Rotary, stated Rotarian Niels Colov at the event, many only think of the community service part of the club, however, the group also does a variety of other items including vocational work in which they teach and educate and international outreach where they work with clubs around the world.  The club also depends on the services portion for vital work such as Media and secretarial work.

The meeting also discussed several upcoming projects which The Pattaya News will cover more at length in future articles. The next meeting will be Monday, the 11th of January 2021, 19.00 pm (Fellowship from 18.30 pm). Royal Cliff Beach Resort, Main Building

The Rotary Club of Pattaya has been serving Pattaya since 1972 and is in district 3340 of the Rotary organization. The expansion is aimed at further serving the Pattaya area and local community and making a positive impact on the community.  The club includes both Thai and Foreign members and holds meetings and events in both English and Thai. They meet bi-weekly at the Royal Cliff hotel every other Monday.
