Two injured after motorbike crashes into parked pickup truck in Pattaya

A motorbike driver and their passenger have both sustained injuries after a motorbike crashed into a parked pickup truck on the side of the road in South Pattaya early this morning (November 17th).

Rescue workers were notified of the accident at 2:30 AM on Pattaya Third Road in South Pattaya near the former Tony’s Gym.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a damaged pickup truck on the side of the road. Nearby, rescue staff found a damaged motorbike.

The motorbike driver, Mr. Patipan Booncherd, 23, who had sustained several injuries, was lying on the road crying out with pain. He was taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.

The motorbike passenger, Mr. Nattaphong Kerdnork, 21, who had sustained only very minor injuries, told The Pattaya News, “We were heading back home from relaxing on Jomtien Beach.”

“When we arrived at a slight curve just before an intersection, our motorbike crashed into a parked pickup truck. It was very dark.” Nattaphong stated.

Pattaya police are reviewing CCTV footage and stated they may conduct a blood alcohol test on the driver.
