Two cars catch fire near Chonburi beach overnight

Two cars which were parked near a beach in Mueang Chonburi caught fire on Friday night (November 6th). No injuries were reported.

Firefighters were notified of the fire at 10:00 PM at Laem Tan beach near a pedestrian walkway in the Sane Suk sub-district Friday night.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find two burning cars. Firefighters managed to control the fire within twenty minutes. No injuries were reported.

One of the cars engines was completely destroyed. The other vehicle sustained only minor damage.

The heavily damaged car owner, Mr. Hattawat Pronuan, 26, told The Pattaya News, “I have no idea how my car set on fire. The car engine was not modified and I had no engine lights or signs of malfunction.”

Law enforcement officials stated to The Pattaya News that the exact cause of the fire is still being identified.
