Motorbike driver going the wrong way killed in Chonburi after head on collision with pickup truck

Chonburi –

A driver who was driving on the wrong side of the road has been pronounced dead at the scene after colliding with a pickup truck in Bor Thong over the weekend.

The Bor Thong Police was notified of the accident on Saturday afternoon (October 31st) in the Pluang Thong sub – district.

They arrived at the scene to find the body of the motorbike driver, Mr. Prasert Sukkaset, 56, bleeding heavily on the road.

Nearby, officers found a damaged motorbike and the pickup truck.

The pickup truck driver, Mr. Tanawat Poonkam, 51 told the press, “The motorbike driver was driving the opposite way before colliding with my pickup truck. I was unable to avoid the collision. I do not know why he was driving the wrong way down the road.”

Tanawat was uninjured in the accident.

Bor Thong police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the accident.
