Chonburi-

A man who was upset at his wife on Mother’s Day this week, Wednesday, August 12, decided to set his wife’s pickup truck on fire.

The incident occurred at 12:30 PM on Wednesday in Moo 5 of the Phan Thong sub-district.

The suspect, Mr. Arthip Khugkit, 28, had been involved in a furious argument with his wife. The name of his wife was withheld and the exact nature of the argument was not revealed to the press.

The argument led to his wife leaving with a friend which only further enraged Arthip, according to a police report.

At this point Arthip took several cans of gasoline, poured them all over his wife’s truck and lit the vehicle on fire. He fled the scene shortly after and as of this weekend remains missing according to Phan Thong police.

It took about thirty minutes for firefighters to put out the vehicle, however, it was a total loss due to the flames.
