Mr. Somyot Lieamhan, 50, the fish pond’s owner, told The Pattaya News that the human skeleton is believed to be Mr. Mint, further name not given, a Burmese national who worked at the fish pond. Clothing found near the skeleton matched those Mr. Mint was wearing the date of his disappearance according to Somyot.

Mint had disappeared on July Fifth after he got his latest paycheck, Somyot told police. Somyot and other staff tried to search for him as they were afraid that he might have drowned as he liked to heavily drink alcohol by the edge of the pond after work nightly.

Somyot and his staff found human skeletons inside dense bushes near the pond this weekend.

Phanat Nikhom Police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of death. They are also investigating any potential connection with a dog skull discovered nearby.
